Changes in technology have reshaped the means and approach of doing business.  This is the business mode, which swings the world of sharing thoughts and ideas as communication, which requires attention and feedback or responses. The ideology is coupled with the keen interest of today’s generation of youth with more interest in information sourcing and effective communication of ideas through the Internet. This has prompted many if not all professionals and practitioners both local and international to adopt technological dynamism. Even though marketing is naturally dynamic in nature, because of the stages of its orientation time after time, (production orientation, sales orientation, marketing orientation, and consumer orientation stages). The business world has the greater advantage of unifying the global market as one to have relationships with consumers, customers, and prospects in a global village.

Marketing has evolved significantly over the years, from traditional methods like print and television advertising to digital marketing, which is now the dominant form of marketing.

Traditional marketing is a one-way communication where the marketer creates a message and delivers it to the target audience. Digital marketing, on the other hand, is a two-way communication where the marketer can interact with the target audience and get feedback.

Digital marketing also allows for more personalization and targeting than traditional marketing. With digital marketing, marketers can target their messages to specific individuals or groups based on their interests, demographics, and online behavior.

Overall, digital marketing is a more effective and efficient way to reach a target audience than traditional marketing. It is also a more interactive and engaging form of marketing, which can lead to better results.



Here are some of the key differences between traditional and digital marketing:

  • Traditional marketing is a one-way communication, while digital marketing is a two-way communication.

  • Traditional marketing is less personalized and targeted than digital marketing.

  • Traditional marketing is less efficient and effective than digital marketing.

  • Traditional marketing is less interactive and engaging than digital marketing.

As the world continues to become more digital, it is likely that digital marketing will continue to grow in importance. Businesses that want to reach their target audience effectively will need to embrace digital marketing.
